Job Description

As one of Canada’s most established healthcare and rehabilitation companies, Lifemark is passionate about enriching the health of Canadians by providing an inter and multidisciplinary approach to comprehensive care. We work together to promote our clients’ best healing and recovery through movement and active rehabilitation. This is at the heart of everything we do, and we are seeking a Kinesiologist who shares this same philosophy for a fully remote role.

Lifemark is home to a diverse team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, clinical counsellors, psychologists, and physicians. In addition to single-stream care plans, we also service various specialty programs for occupational rehabilitation, early concussion, mental health reactivation, and veterans’ care.

The successful candidate will posses the ability to inquire for essential job demands, perform functional assessments, develop active exercise programs, and assist with return-to-work planning. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehabilitation cases.

If you’re someone who thrives in a dynamic out-patient setting, is eager to learn more, and is passionate about helping our clients get back to life, you belong here!

In this role you will:

Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
Conduct program orientations, group classes, and regular one-on-one education
Assess essential job demands through vocational interviews or job site assessments
Develop return-to-work plans with clients and employers
Complete functional and vocational components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
Participate in team conferences and collaborate with team members through rounds

Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
2+ years of experience is required
Experience with return-to-work programs is considered an asset
Membership in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario is a requirement
