An IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance to users, maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations within a company or managed service provider (MSP).
Main job responsibilities
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to users
Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
Support Microsoft 365, email, VPN, and cloud systems
Reset passwords and manage user accounts
Monitor IT systems and respond to support tickets
Escalate complex technical problems when needed
Maintain documentation and update knowledge bases
Assist with cybersecurity and backup procedures
Deliver onsite and remote technical support
Skills and qualifications
Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Good communication and customer service skills
Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are often preferred
Pay: From $6,500.00 per month
