Recruitment Consultant

SMS was founded in WA in 2001 as Scaffolding Management Services. Since its inception, SMS has steadily expanded to become SMS Group Services, providing a diverse range of services to the mining and construction industry.

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Recruitment & Mobilisation team in the Welshpool office. This is a permanent full-time position.

Essential Criteria

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
A minimum of 5 years demonstratable experience in a similar role
Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools
Strong organisational and time management skills
Evidence of Australian Passport, Birth Certificate or Australian Citizenship
National Police Clearance
An outline of the responsibilities of this role include:

obtaining job vacancy details from stakeholders, including job descriptions, wages, and employment conditions to ensure suitable candidates are sourced;
drafting and posting job advertisements, conducting interviews and assessments, and managing the staff selection process;
promoting current job opportunities within the current workforce;
organising work site inductions and providing site-specific information such as wages and rostering;
maintaining accurate personnel records and HR information systems;
maintaining knowledge to interpret visa requirements, industrial instruments and Fair Work principles;
producing accurate reports and record keeping across various platforms as required;
assisting Management with negotiations on employment terms and conditions, and supporting the resolution of workplace disputes and grievances and
providing support to the mobilisation team as required;

Pay: $76,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
