Job Description
We are looking for workshop mechanics to join our team!
You will be required to work in Otago, but may from time to time be required to travel or relocate to other regions for work, including Canterbury, Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and Southland.
This is a permenent full-time role with guaranteed 30 hours per week.
This role is to maintain, service and repair vehicles, machinery and plant to ensure they are safe, reliable and compliant with operational and regulatory requirements.
The Workshop Mechanic is responsible for completing mechanical servicing, diagnostics and repairs efficiently while maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider operations team to ensure equipment is available for fit for purpose.
You need to demonstrate:
2-3 years’ relevant experience, ideally trade qualified as a Heavy Automotive Mechanic or similar
Proven experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles, light vehicles, trailers and plant equipment
Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Can work unsupervised or part of a team
Willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening
Able to complete basic paperwork when needed
Understands and practices the principles of zero harm
Calm, professional temperament and a good work ethic
