Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to provide some much needed support to our busy maintenance department at our main processing and growing operation, located in Canterbury, New Zealand
This role is crucial to keeping our business moving, and is responsible for:
Supporting the maintenance manager to achieve the accountabilities and KPI’s.
Completing jobs as assigned, including preventative maintenance of fixed plant and
equipment.
Ensuring all vehicles are serviced as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
Keeping the workshop clean, tidy, and organised at all times, ensuring that all tools and equipment used for maintenance and repairs are put away at the end of the job.
Being proactive and looking for ways to improve the workshop.
Abiding by all Health and Safety Policies and procedures.
Reporting all accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards immediately.
Actively leading and monitoring Health and Safety Policy initiatives to improve Health and Safety policies within the workplace.
Carrying out any additional duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required tommeet the demands of efficient company functioning.
Our client has ongoing training and development opportunities, and staff enjoy free fruit and vegetables.
