Job Description

Frankton Dental in Queenstown is seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join our friendly team on a permanent, full-time basis. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional manner and manage the reception area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
Answer and direct telephone calls promptly and courteously, taking messages and providing information as required
Schedule and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software, ensuring efficient diary management
Maintain accurate patient records and handle administrative documentation with attention to detail
Process patient check-ins and check-outs, collecting necessary information and payments where applicable
Provide administrative support to the dental team, including filing, photocopying, and general office duties
Manage patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic reception area in accordance with dental practice standards
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all patient information is recorded correctly
Support the smooth running of the practice by assisting with various administrative tasks as required

Qualifications
Previous experience working in a reception or front desk role within a healthcare or dental setting
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals
Strong organisational and time keeping abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in using computers and office software, including experience with appointment scheduling systems
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
Professional telephone manner and customer service ethos
Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks and data entry
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support colleagues
Desirable experience with dental practice management software or similar healthcare administration systems
Desirable knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
