Machinery Operator – Heckler Farming

Be part of a hands-on farming team where your skills keep daily farm operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

Operate tractors for ploughing, cultivation, and seeding
Drive machinery for silage, hay, and bale work
Use loaders, forklifts, and sometimes diggers
Spread fertiliser and carry out crop spraying (if certified)
Harvest crops and transport farm materials
Assist with livestock feeding and general farm tasks
Perform basic machinery checks and maintenance
Report faults or breakdowns promptly
Follow all health and safety procedures
On larger farms, you may also support contracting work across multiple properties, especially during peak seasons.

What We’re Looking For:

2–3 years experience operating farm machinery (preferred)
Confident tractor and heavy equipment operator
Basic mechanical awareness and troubleshooting skills
Full NZ driver’s licence (heavy vehicle licence an advantage)
Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, long-hour work
Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
A practical, outdoor role where every day is different and your work directly supports the success of the farm.

Pay: From $6,000.00 per month
