Job Description
We’re looking for a Mower Operator/Gardener to assist in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces across the Queenstown Lakes District. You'll assist with a variety of gardening and maintenance tasks, including:
Watering tree's with liquid feed and water to improve growth
Weeding, pruning, and trimming
Hand-pulling weeds and vegetation control
Operating both ride on and push mowers
Using small plant such as hedge trimmers and weed eaters to tidy up the edges
General labour duties as required to support the team
You'll work as part of a team to keep these spaces looking great while ensuring safety for yourself, your team, and the community.
Who We’re Looking For:
No prior experience? No problem! If you enjoy working outdoors and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we want to hear from you. Ideally, you’ll have:
A full, current driver’s licence (must be able to drive a manual confidently)
A solid work ethic and a hands-on, can-do attitude
Knowledge of health and safety practices (or a willingness to learn)
Good communication skills, as you may interact with residents and community members
The physical fitness to handle the demands of the role
