Position Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious and highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the automotive industry, with a proven ability to work unsupervised and lead a team effectively. This role requires exceptional mechanical, electrical, and electronic system diagnostic skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain primarily Ford & Mazda vehicles to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Ford & Mazda vehicles.
Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electronic issues.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear and comprehensive explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance.
Adhere to established systems and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
WOF certified.
Qualified Automotive Technician with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a small team.
Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and components, with a high skill level in mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagnostics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised, while also contributing to a team.
Valid Full Driver’s Licence.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Ambition for career advancement to the next level.
Willingness to learn and engage in further training to meet brand standards.
Computer literacy and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
