Fire Extinguisher Technician – Flagstaff, AZ

Fuze HR Solutions Inc. is actively hiring a Fire Extinguisher Technician in the Flagstaff, Arizona area for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a respected leader in the fire protection and life safety industry. Position Overview

The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, servicing, and recharging fire extinguishers in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This position plays a critical role in helping protect lives and property by ensuring fire safety equipment remains operational and code compliant.

Key Responsibilities

*
Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards

*
Perform maintenance, repairs, cleaning, reassembly, and recharging of fire extinguishers

*
Inspect and replace components such as hoses, valves, seals, and nozzles as needed

*
Install and service extinguisher brackets, signage, and related safety equipment

*
Respond to service calls and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently

*
Educate customers on proper fire extinguisher use and fire safety procedures

*
Maintain accurate service documentation and inspection records

*
Assist with inventory management and organization of equipment and supplies

*
Work closely with coordinators to optimize routes, schedules, and customer service

*
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Qualifications

*
High School Diploma or GED required

*
Fire Extinguisher Technician certifications such as NFPA 10 or NAFED preferred

*
Previous fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance, or fire protection experience highly preferred

*
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools

*
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

*
Good communication and customer service skills

*
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

*
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

*
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in industrial or outdoor environments

*
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
