Packing Machine Operator

This role will be responsible for packing pet food using different kind of machinery. A good understanding of food hygiene and quality checks is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.

We are seeking multiple Packing Machine Operators to join our team at our factory in Longburn, Palmerston North.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Running Packing machines.

Packing Machine product change overs.

Machine checks which includes setting up check weighs, metal detection.

Product checks which includes pouch checking, product quality checks and label checking.

cleaning and sanitation to meet current compliance standards.

The job includes lifting upto 20kg, repetitive work and standing for long periods. The applicant must be able do shift work which may include some day and/or night shifts. The applicant must be able to work on weekends.

Hours per week 30 to 45

starting pay rate $27/hour

Pay: $27 per hour
