The Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Marketing & Communications Department.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Implements deliverables across a variety of channels outlined in tactical marketing plans.
Remain current on credit union products and services and participate in identifying methods to elevate members understanding through marketing and communications programs.
Coordinate, write, and post or distribute internal communications, acting as a liaison between corporate and branches for events, campaign collateral, and project communications.
Coordinate, write, and distribute external member/vendor communications, develop working relationships with media outlets and outside vendors.
Assist with the research, organization, and acquisition of various agreements, providing cost analysis comparisons and recommendations.
Coordinate and assist with web and digital property changes and updates, including website, social media, and intranet platforms as required.
Attend credit union sponsored events, including evening and weekends, as a representative and volunteer of the credit union, as required.
Research, analyze, and compile information relative to marketplace, competition, members, and industry trends and provide recommendation(s) for growth opportunities in support of organizational objectives.
Actively participate in meetings, planning and training initiatives, sharing information and ideas to build organizational achievement and success.
Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security, and fraud prevention.
Maintain familiarity with the credit union’s history, vision statement, objectives, and its role within the community.
Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications
Post-secondary education and/or practical experience in marketing, graphic design, creative communications
Financial Services experience is beneficial
Knowledge of Financial Services products and services
Moderate understanding and working knowledge of brand building and brand management
Experience in graphic design using a variety of programs in Adobe’s Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Programs is considered an asset
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
