HGV Technician – Ballyclare

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per year

We are currently recruiting skilled and motivated HGV Technicians / Commercial Vehicle Mechanics to join a busy, professional fleet workshop in Ballyclare. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced, hands-on technicians looking for a stable role with genuine progression and development opportunities.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of HGVs and commercial vehicles, ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant, and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs, and component replacements on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently
Follow manufacturer specifications and standard repair times
Support with fault finding, diagnostics, and warranty work
Conduct road tests (HGV licence holders) and assist with breakdown support when required
Complete accurate job records and service documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Support and mentor apprentices and trainee technicians
What We’re Looking For

Qualified HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
Proven experience in servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
Strong mechanical, electrical, and fault-finding skills
Able to work independently as well as within a team
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional standards
