Job Description

SERE Group is looking to recruit a highly motivated Automotive Technician or Workshop Leader with a passion for quality and efficiency for our Lisburn workshop

· PDI Execution: Oversee and execute all Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) work, ensuring every vehicle function and mechanical aspect is checked to meet a high operational standard.

· Quality Inspection: Conduct random and systematic final inspections of all vehicles leaving the preparation phase to ensure meticulous adherence to quality standards and specifications.

· Compliance Verification: Ensure all work is compliant with statutory regulations, guaranteeing roadworthiness and safety before deployment.

· Workflow Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day running of the preparation, valet, and inspection teams, actively planning and allocating work orders to prep technicians based on priority and deadlines.

· Deadline Management: Monitor the daily workflow to ensure all preparation activities are progressing efficiently and completed on time to meet dispatch and delivery deadlines.

· Team Performance: Monitor team productivity, ensuring a high standard of output and providing the necessary support or assistance to resolve technical or operational issues swiftly.

· Personal training and development needs are identified with supervisor.

· All relevant training is attended.

GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Maths at Grade C or above
Proven leadership experience within a busy workshop or vehicle preparation centre.
High Level of aptitude for administrative tasks
Competent in the use of Computers
Good organisational skills
Self motivated and resilient
A Valid Driving License is essential for this position.
