HGV Mechanic

Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Ballymena
Hours: Full Time (Week 1: Mon–Fri 8am–6pm | Week 2: Mon–Sat 8am–6pm)
Pay: £35,000 - £50,500

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a busy and well-established workshop environment.

This HGV Mechanic role is ideal for someone hands-on who enjoys working on heavy vehicles, carrying out repairs, servicing, and diagnostics to keep fleets running efficiently.

The Role:

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
Diagnose faults and complete mechanical and electrical repairs
Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
Complete routine maintenance and preventative servicing
Maintain accurate job records and reports
Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
Follow all health and safety procedures
The Requirements:

Experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge
Experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy plant
Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent desirable
