Freelance Videographer

About the Role:

We are looking to connect with a freelance videographer based in Winnipeg for ongoing, project-based work.

Expectations:

Shoot content specifically for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Reels)
Understand short-form video pacing, hooks, and framing
Capture content that feels natural, human, and engaging
Work efficiently on-site with brand ambassadors
Responsibilities:

Film short-form video content on location for various clients
Follow creative direction, shot lists, and content strategy
Capture a variety of angles, formats, and sequences for editing flexibility
Collaborate with team members including strategists, creators, and brand leads
Ensure footage is optimized for social formats
Requirements:

Based in or near Winnipeg, Ontario
Own professional video equipment
Access to a vehicle and ability to travel locally to shoots
Comfortable working in fast-paced, on-site environments
Able to accommodate shoots with approximately 1–2 weeks’ notice
Strong understanding of social media content (not just traditional video)
Nice to Have:

Experience shooting for brands, businesses, or social media campaigns
Familiarity with current social media trends and formats
Ability to direct basic movement or guide subjects during filming
Compensation:

Project-based / per-shoot compensation (varies by scope)
Paid per agreed project rate
