Senior Interior Designer

A Senior Interior Designer at BlueMasons is expected to perform all the responsibilities for the Design end of a project. They are equipped with a number of resources to fulfil the expected duties. They report to the Head of Department for Design directly.

CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 4 YEARS INTERIOR DESIGN EXPERIENCE AND A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR DESIGN LEAD EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Handling: All key communications for the project - Requirements, Timelines, Edits, Material Information, Queries etc are handled by the senior designer

2. Core planning of the project: Plan and execute design decisions on the basis of client interactions. Design includes the overall civil and furniture setting as well as the design language for a project.

3. Detailed Design Briefs: Create and submit in depth design decisions for each zone for the process of generating 3D visuals. Design Decisions include - Structures, materials, lighting and any other relevant item pertaining to the design

4. Material Selection: Shortlisting and presenting the exact physical materials to be used in the project. Selection can take place in the in-house material library or at vendor stores as per requirement.

5. Cost Balance: A key part of the job is to stick to the budgetary and Quantity estimates provided at the start of the project. A senior designer is expected to have a basic understanding of industry pricing

6. Team Development: Every Senior Designer is equipped with a team of Juniors to work with them on projects. The senior is expected to guide, train and monitor the Junior assigned.

7. Production Documentation: The senior is expected to develop all the prescribed documents needed for the on site as well as factory production.

8. Execution Evaluation: A senior is expected to monitor the progress of work on site to ensure the development is in accordance with the design. A combination of physical and virtual visits are used for the same. Also includes sessions
