Job Description

This is IFRS17 project requirement where the resource has to understand the requirement, provide initial thoughts on refining the requirement from the project. Candidate has experience in Accounting and Data Management / File Management. Able to understand the underlying reference data and data flows and its impact on reporting / accounting processes. Able to streamline or automate the processes which are human intensive using Excel / VBA macros.

Role
• Maintaining critical IFRS17 accounting input reference data, including business logic and mapping tables used to derive IFRS17 portfolios and cohorts
• Managing change control and data governance via strategic Reference Data Management (RDM) tool, Ataccama
• Understanding of underlying reference data and data flow and its impact on the wider reporting and accounting processes
• Production of key manual adjustments to IFRS17 accounting data
• Operational (monthly) processing of accounting data inputs, including setting up streamlined processing and controls operation
• Identifying opportunities to automate

Skills
• Experience in data management and File Management
• Accounting background helpful but not requisite
• Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
• Reliable with proven track record of delivering to tight timescales
• Strong Excel skills
• VBA Macros experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of data analytics and reporting
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders for integrated solutions
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Good to excellent MS-Office skills

Qualifications

Graduate or Post-Graduate with Min 3+ Years of overall experience. Insurance and F&A background preferable
