Job Description

Position Name: Manager Payroll

Level: L5-B - Manager

Qualification: Any Graduate

Job brief:

We are looking for a Payroll analyst in our HR function. You’ll work to ensure our payroll expenses and taxes are paid correctly and on time. A big part of your job will be to manage stakeholders and ensure compliant ways of working.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. We also value integrity, team spirit and strong organizational skills. Your goal is to ensure our payroll procedures are compliant, efficient and current Payroll & Statutory

Compliance:

1. Responsible for information retrieval from all payroll systems by generating standard reports and development of adhoc reports.

2. Provide support in the development and analysis of payroll data using system functionality, spreadsheets and other databases where appropriate, and drive continuous improvement process. 3. Coordinate activities with IT, Payroll, Finance and HR to ensure timely and accurate flow of information.

4. Proactively assesses the system needs of the Payroll department and identifies, analyzes, and recommends business process and/or system enhancements to the Payroll Manager.

5. Calculate Statutory Deductions (PF, LWF, ESI, PT) and ensure timely remittance of the funds to the authorities.

Reporting & Process Improvements:

1. Understand the reporting requirements of the Payroll Dept. and management team and utilize system functionality to create payroll reports, improve processes and analyze payrollvariances.

2. Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis, and metricsmanagement.

Audit & Compliance:

1. Performs regular audits to ensure the availability of complete and accurate system data and reports issued to individuals.

2. Work with the Internal and External Audit team to assist on quarterly and year-end reconciliations.

3. Responsible for ensuring system processes are operating according to established schedules and procedures.

4. Maintain reports that track open issues which affect payroll processing accuracy.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role

2. Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws

3. Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. SAP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially
