COMPETENCIES:• Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science or related field• Less than 3 years experience in testing and releasing enterprise-level software products.• Understanding of OS/kernel internals and their interaction with hardware virtualization including memory management, resource management, CPU scheduling and device drivers• Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, administration knowledge of UNIX/Linux OSes+ Experience in Storage or Distributed Storage Systems is a plus• Excellent in Python, Go programming, experienced in C is a plus• Software Engineering (QA methodologies)• Test Automation• Linux & Windows system administration• Experience in developing automation framework and testing• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to find the root cause• A good understanding of software development life cycle• Experience with bugs filing systems and source control systems• Excellent communication skills required• Self-motivated and be able to work independently• Good team player Roles & ResponsibilitiesThis role requires a highly motivated & self-driven Software Engineer with a passion for Quality Engineering and Customer Advocacy. In this role, you will get an exciting opportunity to work on the industry-leading vSphere virtualization platform.This opportunity also enables you to work on complex customer configurations and collaborate with the development team to debug customer use cases. The engineer will also get an opportunity to design and automate new test cases for Core storage featuresFunctional testing of Core storage

Engineer will design new test cases (functional tests) based on the code changes, automate the test cases and integrate them into the continuous integration suite

Initiate and drive cross-team/functional activities that help in improving technical expertise and knowledge sharing among the teams. Drive Initiatives & Innovations that help drive process and efficiency improvements.

Analyze functional requirements for the product; understand customer use case scenarios and enhance as needed

Define test strategies; design and implement test automation framework and automate tests for the next generation of solutions for Storage

Reproduce complex Customer problems and test customized releases to Customers

Be able to work with IT teams in building and configuring the Storage test environments

Participate in bug triage activities; manage bugs, drive the activities for the bug to get a closure

Design, implement, execute and maintain manual and automated tests in Python, or Java

Competencies:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering

Working Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Operating systems and general Operating System concepts.

2+ years of experience working on rich automation frameworks, implementing test automation
