R-Shiny Developer, Senior Data Science Analyst

Position Summary

We are looking for a proficient R-Shiny and/or Dash Developer / Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Data Science Team in Mumbai, India. A successful candidate should be an analytically minded hands-on individual with a strong academic background and a strong interest in data analytics as well as custom dashboard development. The Data Science team is a part of the broader Universal McCann Analytics team. Our Data Science Team helps our clients identify their optimal media budget and provide analytical support to them. Our objective is to deliver strong revenue gains by attracting new clients and maintaining current ones (to retain and expand their engagement). The Senior Data Science Analyst supports this goal through building statistical models and displaying the results in custom R-Shiny dashboards and applications. This role is based in Mumbai but will be supporting US-based teams in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.

Job Responsibilities
• Develop new R-Shiny and/or Dash applications that allow stakeholders to evaluate efficacy of advertisement (across a variety of customized parameters).
• Visualize key business KPIs in an interactive R-Shiny dashboard.
• Work with US Data Science team to build statistical and marketing mix models.
• Clean, manipulate, and merge multiple sources of data to analyze the state of our clients’ businesses.
• Compile and assess competitive advertising media intelligence.

Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience in analytics role.
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, actuarial science, computer science or software engineering from a reputable university is a must.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Must be familiar with R-Shiny app features and have experience building R Shiny dashboards.
• Must be proficient in data processing (using R and/or Python) to uncover insights that are essential to business optimizations.
• Looking for a problem solver who is collaborative and can provide data-driven recommendations to the business and clients.
• Working knowledge of relational databases like SQL is a bonus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Open to working in US Central Time Zone working hours.
• Experience supporting US-based teams is a plus.
• For candidates with less experience in R-Shiny, having experience in HTML / CSS is a plus
