Cook | Food Services Department

Qualification: Class 12th with 1 year diploma / internship in culinary skills from a reputed institute



Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an independent cook in a Hotel / reputed catering organisation.



Duration of Contract: One year contract, with a possibility of renewal



Starting Salary: Rs. 30+,870/- per annum. Additional benefits like medical and bonus will also be provided.



Work hours and Days: 8 hours per day; 5 days/week (flexible, based on needs)



Position Summary



This position will be assisting the Lead Cook and Kitchen Chef in the day to day food operations and will report to the Assistant Manager of Food Services.





Position Responsibilities



1. Prepares, cooks and serves many of the routine menus independently, which is also dependent on his individual cuisine skills.

2. Assists the Chef in all his work as per requirement.

3. Scrutinises daily requirements physically.

4. Oversees that refrigerators, freezers and other storage places are kept hygienic, neat and clean.

5. Allocates minor kitchen jobs to the helpers.

6. Sees that all orders going out of the kitchen are properly packed.

7. Oversees proper kitchen functioning, particularly at parties in the absence of the Chef.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

+.Controls proper tagging of stored food and dishes w.r.t shelf life in storage places.
