Electrical Engineer
Job Duties And Responsibilities:-
Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and construction methods and materials, and application of computer-aided engineering (CAE)/computer-aided design (CAD) tools to engineering problems.
Experience in preparing technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions and vendor print reviews for various electrical equipment
Knowledge of SPEL for preparation of load list, MCC schedule etc.
Experience in various electrical layouts like grounding, raceways and lighting etc.
Knowledge of Building Power Management which includes controlling and monitoring of Building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control and security systems.
Preparation of specifications and design calculations
Review of 3D Models in S3D and Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks and be a stakeholder in 30%, 50% and +0% Model Reviews with Clients, Vendors and Sub Contractors.Knowledge of project controls within the discipline.
Preparation or review of material quantity estimates
Uses engineering computer-aided design/computer-aided engineering (CAD/CAE) toolsPrepares letters for replies to vendor correspondence.
Monitors project controls within the discipline.
Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a moderate degree of complexity and prepare comments & recommendations.
Assists in the preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders.

System design, including concept sketches and layouts
Broad progressive relevant work experience of over 6 years in basic & detailed engineering preferably in an EPC industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, process plants
Testing of materials
Evaluates selects, and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports
Performs assignments, which have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables for an engineering discipline within a global business unit.
Receives technical and administrative supervision from an Engineering Supervisor.
Equipment design and development
Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for the application of acceptable methods and judgment.
Provides technical direction to drafters, designers, technicians and less experienced engineers as directed.
Contacts counterpart in other disciplines, supplier/client representatives and project field personnel when directed, to either gather or give information.
Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
Good knowledge of the major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
Basic skills in oral and written communication.
Performs electrical discipline work which involves the preparation, interpretation, or review of calculations, specifications, and electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding, investigations, surveys, structures, systems, or equipment with relatively few complex features.
Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers
