Job Description

Position Overview:

Provides ongoing network / systems administration support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications and connectivity components.
Provides technical support and advises on the use of programming tools, database systems and networks.

Provides support to address availability and reliability issues on various systems (i.e., Linux, Unix, Windows, Mainframe, Mac) across multiple locations.

Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy / procedure enhancement, customer contact coordination and operational recommendations.
Principal Network Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network & Security infrastructure. You will be part of the Network Project & Operations team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network & security architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs

Key Responsibilities:

.Performs hardware and software installation and maintenance for an assigned organization, location or line of business.
.Administers development, test and production servers, including reloading, re-imaging and debugging problems.
.Installs, removes and upgrades software packages on test, development and production servers.
.Troubleshoots systems and host environments, identifying and resolving faults, inconsistencies and systemic issues.
.Provides systems evaluation and operational reports.
.Maintains required compliance reports and documentation.
.Supports team and cross-functional projects within defined area of responsibility.
.Impacts the quality of own work and that of the team.
.Works as a fully competent team member

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree and 2-4 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

CCNA
