Job Description
• 15+ years of experience with Graduate or Postgraduate qualification in data science (insurance domain preferred).
• Strong technical understanding of data science, machine learning, analytical methodologies and tools with hands on experience of when to use what and adapting to client’s unique needs and scale.
• Demonstrable track record in leading large, complex data science and analytics projects which drive tangible, significant business gains.
• Manage the Data Science center CoE and coordinate closely with various business units to identify, prioritize, plan and execute various Data Science projects.
• Build a data science culture throughout the organization and address cross-organizational challenges
• Establish Data Science best practices not only within CoE but also across various business units
• Support and mentor data science teams within different business lines that work on specific operational challenges
• Someone who knows how to frame business problems, help data scientists abstract that business problem into a technical structure they can model, coach them to explain their results to business leaders, considers usability and deployment, and develop careers.
• Manage projects end to end where the candidate will be expected to setup comprehensive stakeholder management, and communication plan with internal and external leadership
• Develop a project plan, manage risk and issues along with an effective mitigation strategy
• Define project schedules, allocate resources, scope, and time management
• Align project objectives and the project team’s alignment on objectives.
• Ability to support the project team with technical solutions direction and mentorship.
• Project monitoring and health reporting.
• Work on the RFP/RFI, as per the need, and contribute at org-level initiatives
• Savings, quality improvement impact analysis of project
• Able to lead the team as a data scientist, data analyst, and, to some degree, as a data engineer
• Understand current market trends, risks and prevalent technologies used in Data Science and Insurance industry.
• Polished verbal and written communication style. Ability to confidently build a strong report with project teams and the client.
