Our Sales team is the largest revenue-generation department at United. They work closely with travel agencies, United travel departments and corporate clients.

Job Overview And Responsibilities

The team is currently looking for a commercially minded analyst who has a passion for data, analytics, visualization and automation. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in International Sales as well as willingness to dig deep into details, ability to assess the big picture and focus on strategic priorities are keys to success in this role. This role will require strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity and analytical strength.
• Execute alternative solutions to business problems by using data analysis, data mining and problem solving techniques. Communicate the results in clear and concise way to stakeholders
• Support in design and development of automated reporting and process automation solutions using R, SAS, VBA, SQL and Teradata
• Designing and Developing Dashboards in Power BI/Spotfire
• Execute strategic analysis to support and influence go-to-market direction
• Work on enhancing existing processes for efficiency and quality
• Design, implement and operate tools to measure performance of Sales programs and Incentives

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required
• Engineer/Bachelor's degree in Maths, Computers, Science
• 5-8 years of Industry experience in Data analytics and process automation
• Minimum 4 years of analytics experience
• Well versed and hands on experience in technologies like VBA, MS Access, R coding
• Must have hands on experience of having worked on projects involving technologies - VBA, R, SQL/Teradata & SAS
• Expertise in Visualization tools like Power BI, Spotfire
• Expertise in database management and querying languages
• Able to understand the data and design and implement normalized data models/structures
• Good knowledge of Advance Excel and MS Access databases
• Be experienced in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high dimensionality data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships
• Be proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL
• S/he has in the past built tools/data-models to solve specific business problems
• Strong project management, time management, planning and organizational skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects
• Ability to build consensus and relationships with peers and internal stakeholders
• Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills
• Must have the ability to adapt to changes quickly
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred
• Master's Degree in a quantitative field like Math, Statistics, Operations Research , Computers, MBA
• Working with Non-structured data
• Experience with forecasting and Predictive modelling
