Description

The Network Operations Engineer supports in the provision of provides monitoring, operation and management of efficient and effective networks services fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy and carries out administration activities. The Network Operations Engineer conveys a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers.Typically reports to the Network Operations Manager or Senior Network Operations Team Leader.

Job Responsibility

Role Purpose

As part of the Network implementation team provide Network operations support for major global datacenters for telecom infra across Europe.

Perform end to end validation and switching checks of network connectivity for a complex telco projects and complete assigned tasks in stipulated time following set process.

Need to Interact with stakeholders to ensure issues are efficiently resolved.

In time delivery of the request ensuring priority & Quality of delivery (accuracy)

Good understanding of processes & criticality involved in enterprise / ISP level Operations.

Soft skills (Communication, Positive attitude, Ready to take Ownership of tasks, new initiative’s and go extra mile).

technical skills & analytical skills for problem solving.

Essential Knowledge

Hands-on experience on Network devices like Cisco, HP, Nexus switches experience / knowledge on Cisco ACI.

Knowledge on Routing standards, protocol.

Experience of advanced level troubleshooting, networking routing, VPN
