Reports to Head Purchase
ROLE OBJECTIVE
As an Assistant Manager Purchase- Electronic & Proprietary Commodity, the incumbent:
Responsible for buying the Electronic & Electro-mechanical parts like connectors, switchgear, PCB,
BMS, Wire harness, Charger, & Lithium Ion Cell with meet the QCD target align to inventory
optimization goal and sales projections.
Comply the Purchase SOPs, Policies, Process to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within
budget and time constraints.
Acts as a liaison between suppliers & Internal stakeholder and customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier identification, evaluation, selection as per business requirement sheet,
Understand the commodity like connectors, switchgear, PCB, BMS, Wire harness, Charger, & Lithium
Ion Cell & Launch the RFQ based on business unit & R&D inputs
Get the quotation & negotiate with supplier for competitive price on time.
Deal with domestic & international suppliers independently.
Perform the Technical based costing, Rate contract, supplier contract, & market price analysis to
support the most favorable decision by leadership team
Manage the inflation/ deflation due to raw material price & currency conversion change & mitigate the
cost impact on part
Ability to Maintained the supplier relationship & resolve the supplier concern
Optimize product costs during the development phase along with R&D team
Manage portfolio of vendors based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability.
Identify the cost competitive opportunity by alternate sourcing, VA/VE & volume leverage
Resolve escalated issue by internal stakeholder related to vendor in respective commodity
Recommend changes to improve purchasing system for vendor relationships and cost reduction.
Collaborate with internal stakeholder & supplier for Inventory optimization.
Preference for experience in Lithium -Ion cell, BMS, PCB, Wire harness, Connector, Charger & Fuse
Work experience in SAP MM module

• BE/B.Tech Electronics with 6-10 years of experience in Lithium Ion Battery or EV Industry
• Age: Around 26- 35 years
