Mobile Application Developer

We are hiring for Mobile developers for our entity called XOME, Chennai, who are responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and analyzing modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and products.

Job Description

Responsibilities

· Design and build applications for the iOS & Android platform

· Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

· Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

· Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

· Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Required Skills

Common for iOS & Android

· 3-8 years of experience

· Familiarity with RESTful APIs & JSON to connect iOS & Android applications to back-end services

· Familiarity with cloud message APIs, push notifications, universal links, and deep linking

· Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, etc.

· Familiarity with continuous integration such as Jenkin, and Azure Pipeline.

· Knowing other mobile app technologies will add advantages such as Flutter & React Native.

Skills in Android

· Experience building Android apps in Java, Kotlin (preferred)

· Experience with Dependency Injection (Dagger), Retrofit, MVVM

· Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes

· Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

· Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

Skills in iOS

· Proficient with Swift (preferred), Objective C, and Cocoa Touch

· Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Location, Maps, etc.

· Experience with Auto layout (constraints in storyboard & programmatically)

· Experience with dependency managers such as cocoa pods and swift package manager

· Understanding of Apples design principles and interface guidelines
