SQL Database Administrator

Job Opportunity with Wipro for MSSQL Database Admin with experience range is 7+ years (We are preferring quick joiners, will welcome candidates serving notice period and in between jobs):

Job Description:

• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012/2014 and 2016 environments database administration in Windows and virtual environments

• Performing detailed performance analysis and resource utilization of systems.

• Implementation of HA options like Log Shipping, Mirroring and Replication and Clustering options for SQL Server

• SQL AlwaysON.

• Own, track and diagnose and remediate database related incidents and requests within SLAs

• Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL as well as no SQL databases

• Strong knowledge of Azure based deployments - IaaS and PaaS

• Writing T-SQL, including complex stored procedures, functions, views and triggers

• Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server

• Performance Tuning and Query Optimization

• Working with non-Microsoft DB technologies (MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle etc.)

• Working with on Premise and cloud based solutions

• SQL server service pack, security patches installation, Migration and upgrades.

• Backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Database mirroring, Replication.

• Maintaining AUDIT policies so as to adhere with DATA PROTECTION ACT

• Troubleshooting SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.

• Windows Core administration, command line remote administration, scripting critical for large deployments and consistent configuration

• Familiarity with SAN and NAS storage in Windows in a Server environment

• Knowledge in Oracle and MongoDB administrations

• Knowledge in Oracle OEM monitoring tool

• Knowledge in LINUX, UNIX commands.
