Housekeeping Staff

REPORTING TO : Operations Manager

JOB ROLE:

To maintain a clean, safe, comfortable and tidy environment at the resort and be responsible for housekeeping of guest rooms and common premises as per the specified standards, guidelines and SOPs of the Company

Main tasks & duties:

1. Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms:

a. sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors

b. vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies

c. shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery

d. dust and polish furniture and fittings

e. clean metal fixtures and fittings

f. empty and clean trash containers

2. Makes beds and changes linens

3. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, and countertops

4. Replenishes toiletries and towels

5. Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways and lounges

6. Organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures

7. Distribute linen, towels and room supplies

8. Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies

+. Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy

10. Check all appliances in rooms are in working order

11. Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout

12. Respond to guest queries and requests

13. Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses

14. Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms

15. Remove room service items

16. Organize and restock cart at the end of the shift

17. Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms

18. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards

1+. Observe and report damage of hotel property

20. Follow all company safety and security procedures

Required Skills:

· Understands oral and written instructions

· Prioritizes work

· Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods

· Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials

· Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment

· Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
