Cashier|Counter

Cashiers at our store are responsible for processing all customer transactions and maintaining a clean and orderly retail environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of using a computerized point-of-sale system, taking accurate inventory and operating the cash register. A successful candidate should be friendly and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Keep an accurate record of all cash transactions.Determine the value of checks and other financial instruments that customers wish to deposit.Verify customer identification as required by law.Accept cash, coins, and checks from customers and make change as needed.Process some outgoing payments for government agencies such as tax refunds and Social Security payments.Distribute the daily receipts to deposit clerks for processing.Keep a log book of cash transactions.
