Naval Architect

As a Naval Architect you will have to work in close coordination with the design team and client. Your Role and Responsibilities will be:
• Liaise with client and /or class for basic design of ships and boats.
• Carry out stability and related calculations.
• Prepare GA and technical specifications.
• Naval Architectural calculations covering weight estimate, stability, scantling, resistance & powering, propulsion, tonnage, hydrostatics etc.
• Preparation of class approval and statutory plans.
• Knowledge of class rules, IMO, and flag state authority regulations (SOLAS, Lloyd’s, DNV, ABS, IRS etc.).
• Hull surface fairing.
• Knowledge of any Naval Architectural software like MAXSURF or NAPA or GHS or equivalent is a must.
• Mechanical and offshore structures background with experience of structural analysis and use of FEA software is desirable. Preparation of technical reports from associated analysis that will form part of the design packages.
• Willing to re-locate on client site, either domestic or International on short notice.
• Any other associated task or responsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization.

Job Requirements:
• You hold a degree in Naval Architecture or Masters in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering/Ocean Structures/ Ocean Technology with minimum relevant work experience of 1-2 years.
• You have good communication & problem solving skills, must have minute attention to detail.
• You will be willing to continue to develop your technical knowledge and skills.
• You are ready to serve minimum service commitment of 2 years in our company.
