Primary Responsibilities:
• Partner with various business teams to understand requirements and desired business outcomes, conduct UX research, and then translate that information into IA, wireframes, and UX prototypes/concepts
• Build a UX process roadmap, and provide direction while advocating HCD process/design thinking principles to the stakeholders
• Evangelize UX within and outside the organization and mentor UX designers
• Build design templates, patterns, and design standards/principles to support UX staff and design operation
• User interaction design for complex UI-intensive applications: analysis of workflow, creation of Lo/Hi-Fi mockups and prototypes using or creating a scalable design system
• Design visually rich mockups and UI assets following Optum design standards
• Conduct design sprint sessions with users and stakeholders to finalize / understand/refine user needs and requirements
• Ability to improve the end-to-end experience using service design in the healthcare system
• Plan and estimate efforts for UX design activities and projects
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
• An excellent design portfolio with a bachelor/ post-graduation in design OR equivalent experience
• Experience in designing complex data visualization experience in an enterprise environment
• Experienced knowledge of integrating UX in an Agile environment
• Ability to demonstrate examples that increased user satisfaction and delivered business value along with an engaging experience for the customers
• Ability to work independently; Interpret, apply, and enhance current Optum UX standards
• Ability to apply design thinking process to solve wicked business problems by using user research, lightweight usability testing, rapid prototyping, etc.
• Excellent skills in conducting UX design reviews and recommendations and able to quickly make concept sketches during stakeholder meetings
• Good understanding of crucial UX metrics
• Ability to drive projects from start to finish with minimal supervision and to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary agile environment
• Expert with popular design tools like Figma, Sketch, Axure, InVision, and Adobe CC
• A good sense of composition, typography, and visual balance to world-class experience
• A good communicator with excellent negotiating and presentation skills
