Job Description
Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of networking concepts.
• Good understanding on TCP/IP and IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6).
• Subject matter expert in DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
• Subject matter expert in Network Time Protocol /Precision Time Protocol/GPS time appliances.
• Planning, design, and deployment of BLUECAT (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) using best practices.
• Planning, design, and deployment of NTP services.
• Managing end-to-end Global DDI operations support.
• Accountable for intranet & internet facing DNS appliances.
• Create / Configure new DNS / DHCP appliances in both DDI AMS and QIP and VM machines hosted on ESXi.
• Doing SUDO configuration.
• Changing the DHCP Failover from one Primary Server to another.
• Investigating logs (query, dhcpd, messages) and troubleshooting issues that arise in DNS and DHCP servers.
• Creating Managed files and having them added under named.conf for logging and channels.
• Migrating DHCP server scopes from one DHCP server to another.
• Migrating DHCP Failover Server.
• Decommissioning of the DNS / DHCP appliance.
• Creation / Deleting of zones.
• Performing Change controls which involves addition/deletion/swaps/moving of RRs based on DNS request for
• both internal and external (public) DNS environment using CLIs.
• Supporting application migration and DR tests.
• Involved in major changes that involve shifting of network devices.
• Resolving issues related to DNS, DHCP, VitalQIP application.
• Providing RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the Management.
Qualification:
• Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems and /or equivalent formal training or work experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
• Must have excellent communication skills, flexibility to travel and run the show as individual contributor
• Having professional level BLUECAT certification will be advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
Salary: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
