Java Software Engineer

Job description:

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer who would analyze product requirements, develop technical specifications, architect new features, build Java modules, unit test, and test features before release. You will deploy and maintain functional, secure and high-quality applications.

This individual will be working closely with other developers, UX designers, and Product Managers to ensure development is consistent with product requirements. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Design and implement services for listings, search, item description, merchandise recommendations, sign-up and account management.
• Experience with cloud hosting e.g aws, digital ocean
• Identify and analyze product requirements
• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
• Write well-designed and efficient code
• Review, test and debug team members’ code
• Schedule product releases with internal teams
• Document development phases
• Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
• Test software development methodology in an agile environment
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

Work experience:
• Java: 5+ years of experience creating web and software applications in Java or J2EE
• BE/BCA/MCA in computer science or related field.
• Startup experience preferred
• Expert level experience authoring RESTful web services
• Expert level with Spring boot
• Expert level with JDBC and hibernate
• Experience in server and domain management
• Knowledge of Agile and Test Driven Development TDD environments is a big plus
• A/B-testing, working knowledge of Google Analytics, Firebase notification
• Test automation, both in backend and frontend
• Build management tools like Gradle or maven
• You have worked with git as a versioning system
