We are looking for a Java Developer profile.

Here are the job details:

Profile: Mainframe Developer

Job Location: Mumbai, Chennai, Pune

Experience: 6 to 12 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days as well as serving notice period

Skills Required (Mandatory 1 year for each):

Cics (mandatory; min 1 year), Mainframe, JCL, COBOL, VSAM, DB2

Responsibilities:

1. Understand business requirements, design and develop application code as per technical and functional programming standards

2. Assist and troubleshoot the existing Mainframe environment.

3. The present application and technical support as necessary at right time.

- Unit testing of the developed/modified code

- Interact with integration infrastructure (vendors – if necessary) and varied systems

4. Coordinate and involve in structured peer reviews and walkthroughs. Should be hands-on in developing and implementing best practices and writing a smart piece of code.

5. Provide prime assistance toward application release installation into production under the given direction.

6. Prepare functional and technical specifications in agreement with Team Leader/PM

7. Prepare work estimates in agreement with Team Leader/PM

8. Lead an agile team and provide technical guidance. Participate in customer calls and drive technical discussions

Essential Skills
• 6+ years of experience in developing and implementing applications using ISPF/TSO, Cobol, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM
• 5+ years of experience in VSAM, DB2 and SQL, writing stored procedures, performance tuning
• 4+ years of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining applications using IMS DB/ IMS DC, PL/I, FOCUS/Web FOCUS.
• 4+ years of experience in using tools like IBM Debugger, IBM File Manager, Xpeditor, File-Aid, CA-7, Serena/Change man, Utilities (SYNCSORT, IEBGENER, IEBPTCH, etc.)
• Good Analytical skills, technical problem-solving, and verbal and oral communication are mandatory.
• Ability to interact with different functional areas with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile Development Methodologies such as SCRUM
