Detailed Job Description

Experience: 5 to 8 Years

• Experience in DB2 UDB 10.5 Fixpack 6 and 10.1,+.7 And MSSQL 2014 and 2016, MongoDB 3.2,3.4,3.6.3 Installations, Configurations and Administration and upgradation

• Having an experience in handling Production databases up to 1TB in production environment. § Efficient Knowledge in maintaining the logs of Offline & Online Backups.

• Experience with Installing Fix packs & Migrating the Databases.

• Proficient in taking database Backups and recovering the database with Timestamps.

• Recovery – Full database recovery and roll forward recovery to end of logs for no transaction loss or to specific point in time recovery. § Experience in Utilities of Dropped Table Recovery, Redirected Restore Operations.

• Expertise in Using Export, Import and Load utilities to export and import the data from and to files.

• DB2 Performance Utilities - REORGCHK, REORG, RUNSTATS.

• Logging Strategy – Configure database logging for performing hot/cold backups.

• Performance Tuning – Buffer pool tuning, database manager, database configuration parameter tuning for optimal functionality.

• SQL Tuning using db2advisor and db2explain tools Facility.

• Troubleshooting Tools – db2diag, db2trace, db2dart, db2support, db2pd.

• Monitoring Tools – Snapshot monitors and Event monitors.

• Database Cloning – Across same platform using Redirected Restore, different platform using db2look and db2move
