Job Summary:

KAPSONS WORLDWIDE is currently seeking an experienced Leather Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of the leather used in our shoe production process.

The Leather Technician will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure that all leather materials meet the required standards.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and grade leather to ensure that it meets quality standards.

Identify and report any defects or issues with the leather.

Work closely with the design and production teams to select appropriate leather materials for each shoe style.

Travel to tanneries to source leather materials.

Manage leather inventory and ensure that adequate supplies are available for production.

Provide guidance and support to other team members on leather-related issues.

Maintain accurate records of leather materials and usage.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from FDDI or CFTI.

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Leather Technician or related role.

Strong knowledge of leather materials and production processes.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects in leather.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines.

Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

Willingness to travel to tanneries for sourcing.
