Oracle|SQL Server Database Administrator

Responsibilities
• Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software and Database 12C,1+C and above
• Experience in installation, configuration, patching, upgradation, migration & administration of Oracle 10g/11g/12C/1+c RAC databases
• Work experience on Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12c, 13c
• Hands on experience in Database upgraded from 12C to 1+C environment
• Experience Oracle database migration from on-premises to OCI or Azure cloud
• Experience in replication of oracle database (Manual/physical standby)
• Understanding of Oracle licensing to understand usage of oracle
• Troubleshooting backup issues or any other critical alerts in oracle
• Hands on experience in RAC, Data guard and RMAN
• Experience in supporting environments consisting of PROD-UAT for oracle databases starting from Version 10g/12c/1+c
• Knowledge of ASM and cluster control
• Good understanding and hand-on on Performance tuning Issues
• Knowledge of Scripting Languages like shell or perl for standardization and automation.
• Knowledge on Operating system relevant to oracle databases
• Upgrades / Patching / Database setup
• Good to have (RAC & DG) Certification, Knowledge 1+c and above
• Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
• Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
• Setting up database user accounts.
• Training users on how to access the information in the database.
• Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
• Creating autonomous database backups.
• Regularly updating the database security protocols.
• Experience in performance tuning and query tuning and provide solution to improve the DB Performance or query tuning using SQL profile, Plan checks etc.
• Proficient in Oracle Database Administration encompassing creation and configuration of Database on Oracle 11g/12C/1+C Tablespace, User and Password Management, export/import Data Pump

SQL Server DB Responsibilities:
• Manage SQL Server databases and hands on experience on Azure cloud platforms.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes
• Monitor system's health and performance
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Design, maintain and ensure High Availability solutions including replication, clustering etc.
• Perform capacity planning work on Production, UA, QA, DEV, and DR environments.
• Provide suggestions for solutions like Backups, recovery strategies.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

Qualifications

Graduation in IT or any computer programming degree
