PostgreSQL DBA Developer | RHEL|Database

Job Description As a Senior PostgreSQL DBA you will be focusing on; day-to-day production operational tasks, database administration, architecture, and automation of database services & solutions. What We Are Looking For • 5-6+ years of experience in PostgreSQL support work • Strong backup and restore (pg_dump, physical backup tools) experience • Strong database performance tuning • Strong SQL Query tuning and development experience • Strong troubleshooting skills • Solid experience with Postgres PL/pgSQL • Replication and failover experience • User and object permission management • Postgres versions +.6, 10, 11+ • Linux command-line operating system experience (Centos/RHEL 7/8 preferred) • Linux software install and configuration • Scripting and task automation (Bash, Python, Git) • Networking as related to database (Linux iptables, DNS, load balancers) It Would Be An Advantage For You To Have • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including cloud DB technologies (RDS, Aurora) • Experience with Patroni high availability JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field with 7 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in database administration (ref:hirist.com
