SQL Development with DBA

About Team & Product/Project Details:

In the Loans and Leases there are specific collection efforts which must be made in order for the investor to provide the funds guaranteed for a loan. If these procedures are not followed, the claim for these funds may be denied.

The FIS Auto Finance Suite – Default Manager offers a customer-centric collections activity for your customers, business clients related to Auto Finance loans and leases. A typical collection software to track and follow-up with debtors, predict, and prioritize debt recovery integrated with ERP and Auto loan management systems covers the overall debt management process

What you will be doing:

Provide database support services to application teams and Technology Services Group (TSG) operations teams including the Network Operations Center. May require knowledge of multiple database management systems on one or more operating systems. Primary duties include database software installation, upgrade/patching, infrastructure management and creation and support of application databases.

You would report to the Development Manager. Primary responsibility for working with other developers in the team at FIS to ensure a quality delivery in a timely fashion.

In addition
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
• May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
• This position also includes UAT and production support for the project.

What you bring:

General:
• SQL statement development/PL-SQL programming/DDL knowledge
• Oracle User Security/Maintenance
• Oracle Explain Plans/ SQL Tuning

Workstation:
• Oracle client tools setup/configuration (TNSNAMES setup)
• Oracle DB Tool usage for SQL/DDL tasks, research Oracle data dictionary, etc. (Toad , SQL Developer, DB Visualizer, SQL Plus etc.)

Linux server:
• Linux command line, filesystem, etc.
• Linux shell scripting embedded SQL Plus commands
• Oracle Data Pump Utility
• Experience working in an Agile methodology. Understanding of all scrum ceremonies and their values
• Leading a team technically on delivery aspect whenever required
• Ability to leads team during conflicts and lead technical discussion to resolution
• Experience in triaging production / UAT and development batch cycles and batch issues will be added advantage
• Skill in communications, analytical and people skills
• Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure
• Ability to be comfortable interacting and maintain positive working relationship with other stakeholders
• Ability to analyze business needs and determine related information services support
• Ability to operate independently
• Ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Added bonus if you have:
• Experience dealing with large financial services clients.
• Experience being part of a small company in its early development stages.
• Early career experience as a lead developer/architect on Web based Angular and J2EE projects dealing with large scale distributed systems
• Knowledge of FIS’ products and services
• Experience using Gradle, Git, AWS, Rally (or other issue tracking system)
• Knowledge of Auto Finance industry and Collection Systems
• Knowledge of mainframe systems
• Experience with Azure Cloud
