The Presentations Specialist assists business partners in transforming documents and produces presentation materials into a more engaging presentations using cross-platform applications. The role holder is responsible for remaining abreast of technological advances in the areas of document/presentation production following template guidance specified by HSBC Marketing while ensuring quality and on-time delivery of own output. In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact; providing a range of design, layout and production services for output in print, web, interactive and presentation materials that fit project requirements; adhering to content and design guidelines; and contributing to the strategic and creative execution of communications. From strategic creative briefs, the Specialist presents solid creative concepts, excellent design, and skilled execution for all forms of communications (collateral, direct mail etc). As part of the role, Specialist will assess the job, provide estimated production time and liaise with stakeholders (locally and globally) to determine deadlines, clarify job instructions and requirements when required. They may be required to be available at short notice for critical work, out-of-hours, weekends or holidays. What You’ll Do? Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities Impact on the business Delivery of work that follows guidelines and industry best practices - Produce work that is in accordance with department guidelines, compliance regulations, policies and procedures regarding content and design, and industry best practices by understanding and applying them correctly, reviewing their work and collaborating with colleagues and seeking advice from team leads as necessary. Typical targets and measures
• Works with other specialists to produce, check and deliver all Presentation materials and related projects within HSBC template guidelines set by HSBC marketing department guidance
• Follows established procedures and filing system for all work produced
• Creates or produces a variety of materials with Presentations scope of work
• Perform job review/briefing and estimate of jobs to ensure clear understanding of the requirements prior production
• Adherence to the established department procedures and process
• Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel applications
• Demonstrates ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for routine tasks; slide creation and image manipulation
• Demonstrates ability to import text and data from external applications such as Word and Excel and to create data-driven charts and graphs for use in presentations
• Assist/stand in for Presentations manager/production manager when required to ensure production quality and delivery meets business partner's requirements.
• Ensure quality control by checking page proofs to insure all comments and changes are made, and that style standards are adhered to before jobs leave the team.
• Ensure a high quality of work by consistently taking responsibility for one's own work, reviewing it against quality standards, and consistently seeking to achieve zero quality errors.
Customers/Stakeholders
• Consistently aim for customer satisfaction and coordinate with the managers for customer feedback or complaints.
Productivity reporting
• Ensure timely completion and accurate data entries of productivity/utilization reports to enable management to monitor and improve production metrics
Leadership and teamwork
• Ensure a steady improvement in one's skills and capabilities by supporting, planning and attending collaborative work and cross-training opportunities, brand guidelines cascades and best practice sharing.
• Assisting managers in developing one's annual and quarterly training plan for staff.
Operational effectiveness and control
• Ensure compliance with all Group, GSC, company and department policies and procedures by constantly updating knowledge and understanding of such, raising questions and concerns with team leads or managers as necessary, and taking personal responsibility for abiding as required.
• Ensure that all activities are in accordance with Compliance standards.
• Assists in the implementation of the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Global Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators. Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Awareness of operational risk associated with the role, in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Requirements) for Group Service Centers (GSCs).

Role context Presentations and Design Services support Global Banking and GLCM with our revenue-generating marketing activities and event materials through print and digital design, develop design solutions and create bespoke layouts and interactive presentations in line Group Brand guidelines. PDS has a network of creative professionals providing 24/5 support run from GSC locations in Philippines, Sri Lanka and China Management of risk To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply. To continually reassess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies. Observation of internal controls To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators (see HR FIM section 3.7 and GCL 050044 on Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls Role dimensions The jobholder is not authorized for any approvals at this stage.
Requirements
What you’ll need to succeed in the role?
• Post-secondary education - either at the degree level or a relevant professional diploma or certificate
• Experience working with client’s desirable
• 3-5 years of experience in a design agency environment or other similar industry is preferable
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with Strong expertise in PowerPoint
• Experience with slide creation and animation
• Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
• Web experience: Working knowledge with HTML5, CSS, and web design principles is a plus
• Video content experience: familiarity with video content creation; storyboarding, editing, animation, and post-production using Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects or similar applications is preferable
• Experience with slide creation and animation
• Strong command of both written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail under pressure and ability to meet deadlines

• Positive attitude and keen to learn
• Maintains composure and professionalism in a fast-paced work atmosphere
• Flexibility in working different shifts when required
