Role Description

Deutsche Bank in Pune is looking for an IT Application Owner (ITAO) to build and own the kind of global systems that will underpin and drive their global business. As an ITAO you’ll help Deutsche Bank build the kind of global systems that will underpin and drive our global business.

The position is required as part of the build out of AFC Tech internal development team in India. The overall team will primarily deliver improvements in anti-financial crime capabilities that are major components of the regulatory portfolio, addressing various regulatory commitments to mandated monitors.

Your key responsibilities:
• Act to improve safety and security of the application, compliance with regulations, policies and standards, enhance operational readiness, and ease maintenance of the environment for delivering change into production.
• Manage and maintain the application instance(s) you own, ensuring compliance with applicable IT policies & procedures and with specific consideration to IT Management and Information Security policies.
• Follow one of a number of possible service delivery approaches, acknowledge interference with the IT application’s life cycle and assist with incorporating the adopted approach into best practice.
• Have sound knowledge of development methodologies and the IT policies necessary to perform effectively in the organisation, aligned to the bank’s appetite for risk.
• Responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies and IT security requirements.
• Awareness of the gap in the current infrastructure solutions and where industry innovations are along the maturity lifecycle.
• Supports the bank’s audit function in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues in order to reduce risk.
• Work with application stakeholders to improve the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with the technical roadmap.
• Interact with and influences colleagues on the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience.
• End-to-end application IT Governance in line with Bank’s policies, procedures and standards.

Additional responsibilities of this role are:
• Work in collaboration with Production Management / L2 on production stability, security, and coordinate production incidents escalations and drive Root Cause Analysis.
• Planning for the application in accordance with Bank’s Technology Road Map
• Capacity planning.
• Ensuring policy-compliance for SOX, ASG, ISP, Audit (Internal and External).
• Plan, Review and conduct DR Tests.
• Managing software licenses, security certificates and contracts with service providers.
• Ensure Control On-Boarding like Brokering solution, Secure Code Scan.
• Expertise in Identity and Access management.
• Drive Infrastructure Migration, Maintenance Activity.
• Perform frequently “service review meetings” to ensure that the KPI´s are met.
• Ensuring availability of all necessary application/service knowledge and documentation.
• Perform User, Role and Group recertification on a frequent basis.
• Assisting with development of configuration / monitoring / packaging / deployment / automations.
• Identifying, documenting and communicating risks and issues discovered during delivery cycles.

Your Skills And Experience
• Around 8-10 years of Production Support experience, currently playing lead/manager role.
• Background on risk management, compliance evaluation, IS and IT Audit facilitation.
• Experience in Application Life cycle Management.
• SDLC Governance, Onboarding & Remediation.
• Sound IT risk management skills.
• Strong in Stakeholder Management.
• ITIL Knowledge, preferably certified.
• Agile Project Experience.

You are expected to have basic technical understanding on technologies like Java, JavaScript, XML/JSON, WS, Oracle PL/SQL, XPATH

Good to have:
• Tool Knowledge:

Jama / Confluence / JIRA / Brokering Solution / Infrastructure monitoring
• Basic CI/CD tooling knowledge:

BitBucket / GitHub / Maven / Artifactory / Jenkins / Ansible

Education/Qualifications Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, ideally with an IT-related concentration (or equivalent diploma/work experience)
