Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we're compliant with all tax regulations.

Requirements
• Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures as well as external regulations and standards.
• Responsible for preparing the Daily and Monthly reports as defined by the Management.
• Responsible for accounting all the transactions in the accounting books.
• Perform Sales and Bank reconciliation statements.
• Overall Management of Accounts payable process including Monthly Accruals and variance analysis.
• Processing of Vendor Payments based on Internal policy.
• Prepare and ensure Tax Compliances are done as per defined due dates.
• Monthly closing of accounting books within Internal timelines.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Preparation of the Monthly balance sheet schedule and highlight exceptions.
• Preparation of journal entries needed for financial statement preparation.
• Perform other duties and Ad-hoc reports as assigned by reporting manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a tech company.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and standards.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Zoho Books.
• Knowledge of Aerospace and Defence business models and its financial implications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with international accounting standards and tax regulations.
