Role: Senior Accountant
Education: BA in Commerce, Accounting or Business AND Chartered Accountant (or working towards obtaining a CA qualification)
Experience:5 - 10 years in either a multinational company or accounting/tax CA firm
Location: Noida/Ghaziabad
Responsibilities:
• Recording transactions, month and year-end closing process and reconciliations for corporation based in India, UK, US, Singapore, Thailand, etc
• Lead accounting entries for General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, GST/VAT and Tax reporting transactions, Inventories, Reporting, A/P and A/R.
• Prepare all tax filings, such as income tax, TDS, GST, secretarial, etc., as required.
• Maintain documentation that all transactions are recorded and supported in the general ledger and appropriate sub-ledgers periodically.
• Maintain checklists to ensure all scheduled entries are accounted for during the close process for assigned operations and functional accounting processes.
• Communicate with multiple levels in the organisation of operating results for their respective areas.
• Work and complete annual audit process and requests as per schedules
• Implement and maintain best practice accounting processes forming variance analysis to record all transactions correctly.
• Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled to supporting detail on a monthly or quarterly basis and reconciling items cleared on a timely basis.
• Ensure accounting policies are in strict adherence to IFRS and US GAAP.
• Record AP and issue invoices as required; ensure timely vendors/associates’ payments.
Requirements:
• Experience in working for multi-country & multi-currency operations.
• Proven professional experience as an accountant
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP as well as an understanding of both international and local tax, legal & audit issues.
• Familiarity with various accounting software (Zoho/QuickBooks/Tally/SAP).
• Significant FP&A and cash flow forecasting experience and P&L exposure within a business
• Excellent technical knowledge of finance systems.
• Significant operational business experience. Exposure to import and export-related documentation and compliance.
• Availability to work early mornings or late nights to interface with US based management team
• Self-motivated, excellent follow-up abilities, driving business initiatives, ability to work independently and to deliver on complex situations
