Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Administration: - 1. Plan, Install, configure, upgrade, and migrate SAP systems on HANA, Sybase ASE
database. 2. Expertise in managing the SAP landscape of AIX. Linux & Windows OS platform. 3. Expertise in
various SAP products such as ERP, S/4 HANA, CRM, BOBJ, BI/BW, BPC, XI/PI, LCM, SSO, and solution
manager. 4. Client Administration including client copy/export/import / delete according to the Role
(Customization, Quality & Production). 5. SAP System database administration tasks relative to HANA,
SAP ASE & MAX DB database. 6. Saprouter, Security, Spool, and Transport Administration. 7. Transport
Management System within SAP System Landscape (Development, Quality, and Production Servers). 8.
Plan, set up, and manage SAP System printing environments, and management of Spool database and spool
requests. +. RFC connections, remote users.
Maintenance: - 1. Choosing and Scheduling of an Operation Mode 2. Applying Support packs and Kernel
Upgradation 3. Profile maintenance through PFCG 4. Backup (Online and Offline), Restore, and Security
of the underlying database. 5. Daily differential and weekly full backup by designing and implementing backup
plan.
6. Time-based and event-based Scheduling of background jobs and monitoring them. 7. Exporting and
Importing SAP profile from source to target system using SCC8/SCC7, local & remote client copy. 8.
Transportation of change requests from Development - Quality - Production Server through
TMS/CHARM. +. Troubleshooting: - 10. Determine the source of SAP System ABAP/JAVA Runtime
problems by analyzing the SAP System logs, operating system logs, and database log files. 11. Familiar
with the 3 categories of problem situations in the SAP System diagnostic road map: start/stop problems,
runtime problems, and performance problems. 12. Troubleshooting backup-related problems and
printers and system hardware problems.
Monitoring: - 1. Prepare daily, weekly & monthly monitoring reports with error descriptions & error
resolution. 2. Performance Tuning at R/3 System level, Database level, and OS level. 3. Monitor Global
Work Process, Work Load of System, Backup, Lock Entries, Updates, Errors, Consistency Check,
Memory/CPU Management, DB space management Monitoring output spool requests, and clearing all old
pending spool jobs. 4. Day-to-day activities of basis administrator like monitoring system logs, server
overview, process overview, local analysis of the server
