Job Summary

As Software Engineer III within Corporate and Investment Bank of Security Services Technology team , powered by a diverse global team of data, product and client success experts are dedicated to helping asset managers, pension funds and insurance companies solve their most complex data problems by consolidating and standardizing data so they can use it more effectively.

Morgan, our recently launched data platform, offers the opportunity to play an integral role in the ideation and development of new products and services to a broad range of institutional clients located all over the world. You will join an entrepreneurial and collaborative team that engages with a wide range of data across use cases to drive solutions to real-world problems utilizing the latest cloud technology.

Job Responsibilities
• Gathering requirements from business analyst and stakeholders, and identify scenarios to be tested
• Creating an automation test plan and getting an approval
• Build Enhanced UI and Backend test framework which would enable functional and regression test
• Contribute to innovation efforts in the ongoing development of the platform, including partnership with Technology and Data Science teams to identify drivers of manual work and development of automation solutions.
• Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the test cases
• Collating and monitoring the defect management process
• Analyzing and generating test reports

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience software testing or development with good understanding of testing, coding and debugging procedures
• Strong experience in developing the UI and Backend based test automation framework using Python
• Experience with any of the python-based test automation framework - Robot/PyTest
• Experience in design and development of automated tests using Selenium + Python across the application layers (UI/Service/Data layers)
• Experience in developing Test Plans and Test Cases, Exploratory Testing, creating and maintaining Defect Reports
• Experience in refactoring and extending test automation/performance frameworks and suites as necessary
• Experience of working in API Testing (REST service)

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS and experience of testing micro-services, containers
• Experience with source control tools such as GIT
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
• Proficient with Software development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system
