Roles & Responsibilities
Manage and deploy server patches for both Windows and Linux Servers including database and third-party software patching
Excellent experience to manage server patching policies, scanning schedules and configurations on Ivanti
Perform OS and application Health checks before and after patching Servers
Manage system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets
Excellent knowledge of server hardening and vulnerability management
Excellent experience in troubleshooting patching issues and documenting RCA
Weekly and monthly status reports of servers and application patching
Basic Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Windows, Linux
3-4 years of experience with Ivanti
5-6 years of experience in Server Patching
Excellent knowledge of AWS, VMware, Wintel, and Linux
Ability to patch Windows and Linux servers, databases and third-party software
Troubleshoot patching-related issues prior to escalation
Good experience with servers, databases, applications and third-party software scanning and gap analysis for patch management
Ability to take backups and snapshots of servers before patching and restoring servers from backup/snapshots when necessary
Strong Windows and Linux knowledge to troubleshoot systems post-patching
Ability to work with Application vendors to resolve post-patching application issues
Ability to restore servers from save points, backup, and snapshots for on-prem and cloud servers
Must be a team player.
Preferable Certifications:
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA): Windows Server
Ivanti Certified Service Manager
