Main Responsibilities

1. To ensure all houses have appropriate staffing levels whilst on shift, reallocating resources as necessary.

2. To monitor and audit the delivery of care/health/placement plans, ensuring that Night Support Workers are aware of all plans in place, understand these plans and can implement these plans inclusive of individual Risk Assessments.

3. To pro-actively monitor and address Night Support Worker absence and attendance concerns and ensure Return to Work Interviews are completed.

4. To give constructive feedback to Night Support Workers aimed at developing performance across the Night service.

5. To monitor Night Support Workers mandatory training requirements and to implement an action plan as appropriate to ensure NCYPE standards are met.

6. Plan the allocation of day bank staff in line with early morning absences, for both residential and education services.

7. To lead the campus as Duty Manager “Bronze” in any major incident.

8. To participate in employment issues such as suspensions, investigations & disciplinaries as required.

+. To respond to any student behaviour crisis, by allocating resources & providing appropriate support.

10. Prioritise attendance of any on campus emergencies and respond/co-ordinate response as appropriate.

11. Allocate staffing and advise on transport to hospital or off campus for students.

12. To carry out observed practice for night staff, including Diploma support as an when required.

13. Where possible visit all houses where there is a student placement or assessment in progress

14. To be trained and able to support the administration of medication at night if required.

15. To carry out checks on agency/bank staff working at night to ensure they are supported with appropriate back up, support and information, as required.

16. Monitor and review the implementation of all NCYPE policies and procedures at night to ensure continued high quality or care service delivery

17. To liaise with the Duty Engineer, Security and Executive on call as required.

18. Provide a professional written and verbal handover at the end of the shift.

1+. To maintain up to date knowledge of the statutory and regulatory guidance for residential care and communicate this to staff as appropriate.

20. To meet the children and young people’s individual needs through the effective management and observation of service delivery.

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
